Lead / Sr. Bigdata Engineer

What's the role?

  • Candidate should be Lead Bigdata Engineer at least 10 years of exp (This role requires onsite offshore coordination with strong technical skills)
  • AWS is mandatory for this role candidate should be very strong on AWS (Redshift is good to have).
  • Spark (Streaming or SQL or Batch) any combination with Spark will work.
  • Core Java as programming language should be a good match but Scala or Python would also be fine.

You’ll need to have:

  • At least 8 years of experience in IT and at least 5 years using Big Data on AWS
  • Hands-on experience with using Cloud Platform provided Big Data technologies and equally non-big data technologies
  • g. EC2, EMR, RedShift, S3 in Amazon Web Services
  • Hands-on experience in setting up Cloud platforms for Client’s use-cases
  • Good and practical scripting knowledge in Java ( core java ) and J2EE technologies, Python
  • Good knowledge in Big Data technologies – Hadoop, Spark, Hive
  • Experience using programming frameworks - Spark, PySpark, Scala
  • Experience or learning ability in NoSQL Technologies – MongoDB, DynamoDB
  • Good knowledge of Big Data, Relational Database, Data Architecture concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, data analysis and research skills

We'd love to see:

Job Location: Chicago / Houston remote till covid  

Remote: Partial Remote

Contract Duration/Full-Time: 12+ months
